The first 'fuel pumps' for aircraft were supposedly called bowsers, after the falconry term for a 'bird taking a drink'.  Other versions include the first car fuel pump that actually pumped directly (rather than the gravity transfer system) was called a 'Bowser'.

Regardless, today, the small fuel truck that comes up to fuel an aircraft is called a bowser, and so, the snack shack at Kpong Airfield has taken the same name.

At The Bowser you can purchase cold drinks, snacks and some little pilot things that you may need (log book, pens, etc).  The Bowser helps to fund the girls from the AvTech academy, and so we are sure that you will enjoy the double benefits of refreshement and development that is on offer here!
