Exams
The National Licence (called the PUP or Private UL Pilots Licence) requires that each candidate completes a minimum of 30 hours supervised fligh instruction, which must include 10 hours solo (with cross country requirements), pass a written exam covering air law, airframes and engines, human factors, theory of flight, meteorology and navigation, and pass a General Flying Test (GFT) which must last no less than 90minutes and cover the majority of the syllabus.
The written exam is 60minutes for a selected 30 questions. You must achieve 70% to pass. If you fail you may resit the exam after 7 days have elapsed. The exam is computer based and you can book to sit it at our training facility - often on the day. Fees do apply.
