Learning to Fly in Ghana
WAASPS is the first operator to offer the Ghana National Flying licence or PUP. Flying aircraft in the sub-500kg category with 2 seats and full three axis control you can learn the skills necessary to move on to further licenses. Similar to the USA LSA rating the Ghana PUP carries certain credit towards further licenses (PPL, CPL, etc) but above all provides flying skills in a cost effective and safe manner using modern machines with outstanding performances. More and more pilots agree that these machines are the best 'first planes' due to their forgiving nature and quick responses. our primary trainers are powered by Rotax 912 engines, quiet, economical, using lead free, locally available fuels and are amongst the most environmentally friendly aircraft engines in the world.
Our grass runways (19/01 and 29/11) are maintained to the highest standards and are constantly being improved! Here you see AA on solo ops with a Ghanaian student soon to get his licence! |
