When you arrive at Kpong Airfield you will think that you have been transported into the future of Ghana - and that is exactly what has happened. The clean, well manicured runways, public-viewing area and pilots briefing room are just beyond the car park. Step out and discover more... As you approach the Flight Office you will see the red and white operations tower and aircraft buzzing in and out of this five thousand movement per year facility. Beyond the security fence, sitting on the apron, proudly built in Ghana aircraft wait to take you on a journey of a lifetime - a voyage of discovery of Ghana and yourself. After signing in you will be taken around by your pilot or one of our excellently trained Ghanaian aircraft technicians. You will participate in pre-flighting the machine that you will soon take to the air in. Everything is explained in detail, but also in clear english to ensure that there is no confusion - and you will not be able to stop smiling at the thought of the most amazing adventure before you. You are given a final safety brief and securely strapped in. Then your Pilot climbs aboard and you see and hear all that goes into starting and flying these machines.. .Soon you are airborne, taking in the sights of rivers, lakes, mountains, bridges, dams and more. Workers in the fields will look up and wave whilst cattle weave along with their fulani herdsman nearby, all laid out in full colour, beneath you. Once at a safe altitude you will be offered to take the controls for a short time - and to feel the responses of the machine to the inputs. You will have stories to tell for months to come! You can choose to fly for 15, 20, 30 or 60 minutes in our well maintained primary trainers - the longer the flight the further you can go and the more time you get on the controls. If you decide you want to learn to fly (and you probably will really want to), we can then enroll you to one of our courses and you can fly yourself towards your pilots licence!.
