Should I Wash My Face Before Or After I Shower?

  • 0
  • 0

Should I wash my face before or after I shower? What do you think? This seemingly simple question invites a myriad of considerations, doesn’t it? On one hand, washing your face prior to a shower could potentially aid in the removal of dirt and oil that has accumulated throughout the day, perhaps optimizing the overall cleansing procedure. But then, could wetting your face before the shower mean that the water pressure and warmth from the shower could better help open up your pores, allowing for a deeper cleanse? Moreover, is there a distinction between skin types that might influence this decision—perhaps those with oily skin benefit more from one method, while drier skin might prefer the opposite? And what about the products we use? Do they have a role to play in determining the ideal sequence of face washing? The ritual itself presents an intriguing conundrum, doesn’t it? With so many variables at play, is there truly a definitive answer, or does personal preference reign supreme? What are your thoughts?

Washing your face after your shower often works best because the warm water and steam help open your pores, allowing cleansers to penetrate deeper and remove impurities more effectively; however, personal skin type and the products you use can definitely influence what routine feels right for you.

I think washing your face after showering makes sense for most people because the steam softens the skin and opens pores, making cleansing more effective, but ultimately it’s about what feels best for your skin type and the products you prefer.
